About us

Green West Farm was born in 2014 on the hills of Torres Vedras, when Rui Almeida left his Lisbon office and returned to the family land. His grandfather grew vines and vegetables in Silveira; Rui inherited the plot and a passion for seasonal produce.

Our story

Today the farm covers about three hectares certified organic. We grow fruit, vegetables and pulses without synthetic pesticides, with careful irrigation and hand harvesting. What we do not sell at the Torres Vedras market reaches this online shop on the day of harvest.

Our values

We believe in fair prices for growers and customers — so we sell directly, without middlemen. Every order is prepared by us, with the care of people who know each plot by name.

Meet Rui

Rui Almeida runs the farm with help from his mother, Maria, and two permanent staff. At harvest time the family grows — nephews, cousins and neighbours who know every plot by name.
